Yesterday evening finally saw the announcement of tickets for Star Wars Celebration LA 2027. With the convention announced at Star Wars Celebration Japan last year and taking place on April 1st-4th 2027 at the LA Convention Centre.

We now have a date for when tickets for Star Wars Celebration LA (SWCLA) will go live as well as prices. I’ll also be going over what you can expect from the chaos on the day, so if you’re new to this be sure to read ahead!

May 6th 2026 at 12pm PT (8pm BST) is when tickets go live for SWCLA, so less than 3 weeks from now! The available tickets are the same as always, VIP, Adult/Child 4-Day, Adult/Child individual days and are priced as follows:

  • VIP – $1,210.99
  • Adult 4-Day – $260.99
  • Adult Thursday – $76
  • Adult Friday – $91
  • Adult Saturday – $91
  • Adult Sunday – $91
  • Child 4-Day – $105.99
  • Child Thursday – $36
  • Child Friday – $46
  • Child Saturday – $46
  • Child Sunday – $46

These ticket prices are in-line with the cost to attend the previous to Celebrations I’ve attended (London ’23, Japan ’25) so it’s nice to see that despite the current cost of living, tickets remain at a steady price point. VIP tickets are, of course, incredibly expensive but price fans with the following benefits:

  • 30-minute early entry to the Exhibit Hall and VIP Lounge
  • Wednesday Night Official Celebration Store Shopping Experience
  • Guaranteed admission to all panels on the Celebration Stage (Must arrive 30 minutes prior to start of panel or seat may be forfeited)
  • Designated VIP line for autographing and photo ops
  • Designated VIP line for Celebration Store
  • VIP Lounge with complimentary coat check and charging stations
  • Onsite VIP Concierge
  • Exclusive VIP hologram badge
  • Exclusive VIP special enamel pin
  • Exclusive VIP show lanyard
  • Exclusive VIP car magnet
  • Official show poster with tube
  • Complimentary Star Wars Celebration tote bag

Let me know if you think it’s worth it! Personally, I had VIP in Japan but 4-Day in London and I found having VIP worth it as I had guaranteed access to every single panel, without the stress of the panel reservation system which is a big thing for me personally. Getting in early to buy exclusive merch was also a big win as it ensured I was able to purchase everything I wanted without the awful queue times.

So that’s all the information you need to know about the tickets, but let’s talk about the Key Art before we dive into what you can expect on May 6th. Illustrated by Rico Jr and David Ball, the poster gives us a twist on the classic Star Wars poster from 1977 and in the background Los Angeles, “Star Wars” replacing the iconic Hollywood sign, palm trees and the skyscrapers of Downtown LA. Personally I think it’s a fantastic piece of work and the Celebration website shows it on a T-Shirt as well, which I will absolutely be purchasing.

What to expect!

Star Wars Celebration ticket releases are a cause of stress for many. So many people hoping to attend, many wanting to purchase VIP, but many unsure as to what to do, when to do it, etc. As someone who has fought this battle for the previous 2 Star Wars Celebrations, the best thing you can do is to be prepared. How though?

Firstly, you know when tickets go on sale, May 6th at 12pm PT, so clear your schedule if at all possible. Give yourself at least an hour before and to be safe, 2 hours after just in case you get stuck in a long queue.

Secondly and obviously, ensure you have the money in the bank. Ticket purchases will be made on the day, so make sure you have the available funds in the right place before the day and know exactly how you’re going to make payment.

Back to the clear schedule, whilst tickets do become purchasable at 12pm PT, it’s often the case that the queue for tickets will be available earlier. Links to this page will likely be emailed out and posted on social media, so sign up to the newsletters, turn on post notifications for socials, etc. Ultimately this means that the queue system may stay 10-15 minutes early or sooner, so the quicker you are, the better off you might be.

Multiple devices is another really important step and rally the troops! I’ve got friends and multiple family members prepared so that when tickets go on sale, we’re all looking our for each other and have multiple devices queued up. Personally I’ll have my phone, laptop and PC in the queue to give me the best chances.

As for how quickly tickets sell. As you can probably expect, VIP tickets sell out within 5-10 minutes tops, they are the most expensive but by far the smallest number of tickets, so if you want VIP, you’ll have to be very quick!

4-Day tickets will typically sell out next, likely within the first 30 minutes or so if memory serves. As for the day tickets, some days will sell out within the first few hours, others will potentially be available months down the line.

Given this is a US-Based Con, I envision far more people looking to attend compared to London & Japan, so be clear your schedule, be prepared and May the Force be with you all.
